NET Recruit are searching for an Interim Assistant Management Accountant to join a successful services business within the Andover area, for a 6-month fixed term contract.Your Role:While in this position your duties may include but will not be limited to:
  • Supporting the production of monthly management accounts, annual statutory accounts, and external financial reporting
  • Assisting in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing financial insight to support planning and decision-making
  • Preparing and delivering financial reports for budget holders and other non-finance stakeholders, ensuring accuracy and clarity
  • Maintaining up-to-date technical accounting knowledge to ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards
  • Performing balance sheet reconciliations and journal processing, including accurate treatment of accruals and prepayments, in line with best practices
  • Investigating and correcting financial system discrepancies through detailed interrogation and analysis
  • Conducting variance analysis to monitor performance against budget and highlight key drivers.
  • Ensuring all reporting and regulatory deadlines are consistently met
You MUST HavePlease apply ONLY if you meet the following criteria:
  • Degree within finance and accounting or AAT level 3 or above
  • Currently studying or the desire to study further professional qualifications such as ACA, CIMA or ACCA
  • Experience within an accounting role, ideally handling management accounting duties or similar
  • Exposure to working within a financial reporting team, budgeting and management accounting
  • Good financial systems and additional IT skills including strong Excel knowledge
