Located near Thatcham on the Berkshire/Hampshire boarder, this privately owned venue combines luxury country dining with exciting future plans for an expanded events offering, including private celebrations, weddings, and exclusive gatherings.
The Role - Head ChefWe are seeking an inspiring and commercially minded Head Chef to:
- Be a hands on leader developing a talented kitchen team across both restaurant service and bespoke events
- Design and deliver seasonal, locally driven menus that showcase the very best British ingredients
- Maintain impeccable standards of quality, consistency, and presentation
- Collaborate with ownership and management on the development of new event and hospitality concepts
- Manage kitchen operations, stock, GP, and compliance efficiently and professional
- Proven experience as a Head Chef in a premium gastro pub, boutique hotel, or fine dining venue
- Confident delivering high-end cuisine for discerning guests and private events
- A calm and organised leader with strong mentoring skills and a hands-on approach
- Passionate about provenance, sustainability, and seasonal cookery
- Financially astute with excellent organisational and communication skills
- Basic salary up to 65k plus tronc and 20% Bonus, overall OTE 85K
- Live-in accommodation available if required (small cost)
