Personnel Selection are pleased to be working with an excellent Andover based business, who aree currently recruiting for a Credit Control and Accounts Assistant on a permanent and full time basis.

This will be an office based role, working 8.30am to 5pm Mon to Fri.

  • Simply Health (BIK)
  • Pension = EE=5% ER= 3%
  • Death In Service = twice annual salary
  • 23 days annual leave + Bank Holidays rising 1 per year to 25 total after 1 years’ service
  • Christmas closure for 3 days (need to keep annual leave to cover)

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who enjoys working in fast-paced and vibrant environments and has great attention to detail.

Whilst the primary focus of the role is Credit Control, there will also be some export and banking administration involved, so we are looking for an adaptable and industrious candidate. 

The ideal candidate has experience of Sage 200 and Excel, as well as a good grasp of CRM etc. 

Credit Control

  1. To review and chase outstanding items on the Debtors Ledger with emphasis on reducing the overdue items to KPI targets
  2. To check, and clear the Credit Held Queue.
  3. To report on the Credit Held items with commentary
  4. To process new Sales Account applications and closures, and report weekly.
  5. To process Click n’ Collect credits.
  6. To build a relationship with the ABMs for credit held, new accounts
  7. To run and issue the monthly Aged Debtors with comments on the status of the outstanding items over £5k
  8. To maintain accurate customer details, addresses, emails etc.
  9. To send out monthly statements and any other invoices/credit notes.
  10. To process payments from customers

Export Assistance

  1. To prepare weekly Supplementary Invoices and Declarations for goods dispatched outside the UK
  2. To work closely with the warehouse for exporting goods

Banking

  1. To assist in the banking duties of and take responsibility for
    1. Post daily cash receipts
    2. Reconciliation of accounts – GBP, USD, Euro
    3. Authorisation of payments

Ad Hoc

  1. To distribute the post and complete any filing required.
  2. To assist the Assistant Accountant with month end tasks
