About the Role
Were looking for a highly organised and hands-on Deputy General Manager to support the General Manager in the day-to-day running of the business.
The ideal candidate will be a strong leader who can inspire and motivate the team, maintain exceptional operational standards, and ensure the venue continues to deliver first-class guest experiences. Youll play a key role in managing financial processes, developing staff, and maintaining a high-quality, guest-focused operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily shift management, including opening and closing duties.
- Manage weekly financial duties: banking, reconciling takings, preparing end-of-week reports.
- Support with payroll ensuring hours, tronc, and submissions are accurate and timely.
- Lead training and 1-to-1 development sessions with team members.
- Uphold and develop standards of service throughout the business.
- Prepare and review Flash GP reports, handle invoice inputting (FOH/Wet), and update Beverage Control Sheets weekly.
- Create and manage rotas, ensuring the business is always appropriately staffed.
- Manage plateware, glassware, and stock control.
- Support the GM with office administration, emails, and ledgers.
- Maintain fire safety, hygiene, and compliance standards.
- Support guest relations, including handling online feedback and reviews.
- Assist with maintenance coordination.
About You
- Proven experience in a management or senior supervisory role within hospitality.
- Strong financial awareness and experience with cash handling, payroll, and reporting.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with a natural ability to motivate others.
- Passionate about delivering outstanding guest service.
- Organised, proactive, and detail-oriented.
- Confident with management systems and financial software.
- Flexible and reliable, able to adapt to the needs of a busy operation, including weekends and holidays.
