Positive Employment is currently recruiting for a Neighbourhood Manager for our client a local government organisation in Andover.

The successful candidate will manage a comprehensive, proactive and pragmatic Housing and Neighbourhood Management Service to customers. They will be accessible to customers and colleagues in delivering the service and adaptable where required to react to challenging situations. Lead members of the Neighbourhood Team to deliver the landlord strategy and to deliver an efficient, effective and customer focussed neighbourhood and maintenance management service.

They will work with the Head of Housing to enable the provision of a good tenancy and estate management service by developing and implementing robust procedures and processes. Demonstrate through behaviours a dynamic and innovative 'can do’ culture.

This role is initially a 6 month contract with the possibility to extend.

Duties and Responsibilities but not limited to:

  • Positively promote and ensure that the landlord strategy of a safety first and rent first culture is delivered.
  • Understand and increase customer satisfaction with neighbourhoods and promote improvements through empowering the Neighbourhood team to deliver innovative solutions.
  • Deliver easily accessible, good and safe landlord services.
  • Audit and review Housing KPIs and compliance.
  • Lead the Housing team using emotional intelligence to get the best from each individual member
  • Develop and nurture relationships with external and partner agencies, stakeholders and statutory bodies.
  • Investigate and respond to complaints relating to service failures using a 'lessons learnt’ approach.
  • Lead on operational housing and tenancy management delivery.
  • Lead and develop a risk-based approach to Neighbourhood Inspections.
  • Embedding a culture and awareness of safeguarding concerns and accurate and timely reporting.
  • Supporting and directing housing teams to manage complex and challenging cases.

Personal Requirements:

  • Educated to degree level or extensive experience in housing, management or transferrable skills.
  • Highly developed communication skills.
  • Experience of challenging and emotive situations and applying empathy.
  • Knowledge and experience of the housing sector.

Working Hours: 36hrs / 8:30am - 17:00pm / Monday to Friday

Pay: £36.66 per hr
