A great opportunity has recently become available for a Youth Mental Health Worker in a lovely school in Ascot. If you are interested in working with children who have struggles with their mental health then this is the perfect opportunity for you!

The opportunity as a Youth Mental Health Worker:

This lovely inclusive school are looking for a bright and enthusiastic individual to come in with a positive attitude and uplift their students. This position is to start as soon as possible.

Ideally the Youth Mental Health Worker will be a graduate with a degree in psychology, criminology or sociology. Those with a background in sport, art or music are also encouraged to apply! a degree however is not essential and those with passion and a great work ethic are most welcome to apply!

The role as a Youth Mental Health Worker:

Your role as a Youth Mental Health Worker will be to provide support to students who are having a difficult time with processing and regulating their emotions. You will support them during the school day and encourage them to process their emotions in a healthy and positive way. You will mostly support these students in either small group settings or 1 to 1. While doing this, you will also support the class teacher with general class duties, such as ensuring the classroom is a safe and engaging environment, managing general classroom behaviour and providing general supervision.

The successful Youth Mental Health Worker:

The successful Youth Mental Health Worker will be passionate about mental health and an advocate for children who struggle with their emotions. You will be passionate, resilient and compassionate.
