Are you a Maintenance Engineer looking to join their ever growing team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and improving the performance of automated machinery, ensuring the smooth operation of mechanical and electrical systems, and minimizing downtime through effective fault-finding and repairs.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to mechanical and electrical breakdowns on production equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair faults on automated machinery, including motors, conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and control panels.
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections to prevent unexpected equipment failures.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance machinery reliability and efficiency.
  • Use basic PLC knowledge for fault-finding.
  • Collaborate with production teams to ensure minimal disruption during maintenance activities.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations and promote safe working practices across the site.

 

Qualifications and Skills

 

  • NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
  • Proven experience working with automated machinery in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills on mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Basic understanding of PLC systems and ability to troubleshoot.
  • Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and control systems.
