Senior Architectural Technician
Location: Kent
Salary: 37-47,000 (dependent on experience)
A well-established architecture and surveying practice is seeking an experienced Senior Architectural Technician to join its Kent-based team. This role offers the chance to work on a diverse mix of projects, including residential, commercial and industrial schemes, with a strong focus on delivering precise technical design and high-quality construction information.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce detailed technical drawings, BIM models and construction documentation for all project stages
- Ensure all design work complies with relevant legislation, UK building regulations and structural or services requirements
- Work closely with architects, surveyors, clients and external consultants to deliver coordinated and practical design solutions
- Mentor junior team members and promote best practice in drawing standards and efficient workflows
- Assist in preparing tender documentation, specifications and contract-related material
- Support sustainable design initiatives and contribute to improvements in the studio's digital design processes
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience as a Senior Architectural Technician within an architectural or multidisciplinary environment
- Strong knowledge of UK building regulations, BIM standards and detailed construction methodology
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit, with strong technical drawing and modelling skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in all technical documentation
- Clear and confident communication skills with a collaborative approach
- Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple projects and prioritise workload effectively
- Based in Kent or within a practical commuting distance
