Salary: 37-47,000 (dependent on experience)
A well-established architecture and surveying practice is looking for an experienced senior architectural technician to join its Kent-based studio. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a varied portfolio of projects, including residential, commercial, and industrial schemes, with a focus on precise technical design and high-quality construction documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed technical drawings, BIM models, and construction documentation across all project stages.
- Ensure all designs comply with UK building regulations, relevant legislation, and structural or services requirements.
- Collaborate closely with architects, surveyors, clients, and external consultants to deliver coordinated, practical design solutions.
- Mentor junior team members and promote best practices in drawing standards and efficient workflows.
- Assist in the preparation of tender documents, specifications, and other contract-related materials.
- Support sustainable design initiatives and contribute to the studio's digital design development.
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience as a senior architectural technician in an architectural or multidisciplinary practice.
- Strong knowledge of UK building regulations, BIM standards, and detailed construction methods.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit, with excellent technical drawing and modelling skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in technical documentation.
- Clear, confident communicator with a collaborative working style.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and prioritise workload effectively.
- Based in Kent or within a reasonable commuting distance.
