Are you a dynamic Town Planner looking to accelerate your career with a forward-thinking planning consultancy? We're working exclusively with a well-established and highly respected planning team based in the heart of Kent, and they're now looking to expand with the addition of a talented Town Planner.



About the Role:

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing consultancy that works across a wide variety of projects including residential, rural, commercial, and strategic land. You'll be working closely with private clients, landowners, developers, and local authorities, offering expert planning advice and managing applications from inception through to approval.

The successful candidate will play a key role in the preparation and submission of planning applications, appeals, and development appraisals, while also supporting senior consultants on more complex projects.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and submit planning applications and appeals

  • Undertake site appraisals and provide sound planning advice to clients

  • Engage with local authorities, stakeholders, and third-party consultants

  • Monitor local planning policies and development frameworks

  • Support senior team members with larger-scale schemes



About You:

  • RTPI accredited degree (or equivalent) and working towards or recently achieved MRTPI status

  • 2+ years of relevant UK planning experience (private or public sector)

  • Strong knowledge of the planning system and current policy landscape

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively

  • Ambitious, proactive, and eager to grow professionally
