Overview:

We’re currently recruiting on behalf of a growing medium-sized accountancy practice based in Kent, seeking a confident and capable Audit Senior to join their audit and assurance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified (or finalist) audit professional who enjoys leading fieldwork, working with a diverse client base, and contributing to a collaborative, high-quality practice.

 

The Role:

As Audit Senior, you will take responsibility for planning, leading, and completing audit assignments across a broad range of industries. You’ll work closely with managers and partners, supervise junior staff, and play a key role in delivering a smooth, high-quality audit experience to clients.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead audits from planning to completion for a range of clients
  •  
  • Prepare and review audit fieldwork and ensure work is completed to a high standard
  •  
  • Prepare statutory accounts and tax computations when required
  •  
  • Liaise directly with clients, acting as the main point of contact during audits
  •  
  • Supervise and support junior staff on-site and in the office
  •  
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations
  •  
  • Identify and communicate audit findings and risks to managers/partners
  •  
  • Contribute to training and knowledge-sharing within the team

 

Requirements:

  • ACA / ACCA qualified (or finalist)
  •  
  • Minimum 3 years’ audit experience in a UK accountancy practice
  •  
  • Strong working knowledge of UK GAAP, FRS 102, and auditing standards
  •  
  • Confident managing audits from planning through to finalisation
  •  
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  •  
  • Strong IT skills including experience with audit software (e.g. CaseWare, CCH, etc.)
  •  
  • A positive team player with a proactive, professional attitude
