Vision for Education is seeking passionate and motivated individuals to join our team as Trainee SEN Teaching Assistant This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone looking to start a rewarding career in education and make a real difference in the lives of children with special educational needs (SEN).

You’ll work alongside experienced teachers and support staff, gaining hands-on experience in the classroom. No prior school-based experience is required—just a genuine enthusiasm for working with children and a willingness to learn.

The Role Will Involve:
  • Supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.

  • Helping create a positive, inclusive and safe learning environment.

  • Assisting with classroom activities, small group interventions, and 1:1 support.

  • Encouraging independence and promoting confidence in learning.

  • Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and other professionals to deliver tailored support.

About You

We are looking for individuals who are:

  • Passionate about working with children and young people.

  • Patient, empathetic, and resilient.

  • Willing to learn and take part in training opportunities provided by Vision for Education.

  • Reliable, flexible, and committed to supporting pupils with SEN.

Previous experience in care, youth work, or a related role is desirable but not essential. Full training and support will be provided.
