The School and Role

We are currently looking to recruit a confident and professional Primary Teacher to work in a friendly primary school in the Northumberland, Ashington area. This will be to work in their SEND Classroom, where there is already an experienced and established Teaching Assistant. The class is made up of around 10 children and these children have a mix of abilities and SEND. The class age range for this class is Year 1 to Year 4. This is a large school and offers a lot of support and learning opportunities. The role will be full time, working Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 3.30pm. The school has a supportive senior leadership team and offers a lot of additional support to their supply staff. The duration of this position is currently two terms.

Requirements

The desired Primary Teacher will have;

  • Experience of working with primary school aged children, ideally having taught across both KS1 and KS2
  • Experience of working with pupils with SEND
  • A passion for the progress of primary school pupils
  • An ability to work as part of a team
  • QTS within the UK
