We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various welding techniques and fabrication processes. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work with hand and power tools effectively. As a Fabricator/Welder, you will play a crucial role in the production of high-quality metal components and assemblies.
Shift patterns 7:30-4:30pm Mon-thur and 7:00-4pm Fri
Salary depending on experience.
Duties
- Perform TIG and Stick welding on various materials, ensuring high standards of quality and safety.
- Utilise hand tools and power tools for fabrication tasks, including cutting, shaping, and assembling metal components.
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications to accurately fabricate parts according to project requirements.
- Conduct inspections of finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance productivity.
- Assist in troubleshooting mechanical issues as they arise during fabrication.
Requirements
- Proven experience in TIG welding, Stick welding, and general fabrication techniques.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to metalworking.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand complex assembly processes.
- Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
- Familiarity with sheet metal work is advantageous but not essential.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
