Reed Legal are supporting a regional law firm who has been supporting the Buckinghamshire community for over a century with their recruitment of a Licensed Conveyancer and / or Solicitor, specialising in residential conveyancing or commercial property transactions. The Conveyancer / Solicitor will be advising mainly lender clients on all aspects of the buying and selling process, and also including bridging loans, buy-to-let, commercial and development, legal issues, finances and contracts. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for career progression, including building and managing a successful conveyancing team.

?Key Responsibilities

  • Handle files both freehold and leasehold from initial instruction through to completion.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior solicitors and conveyancing assistants while managing more complex transactions
  • Prepare contracts and supporting documents.
  • Check official copy documents and ensure post-completion processes are concluded accurately.
  • Coordinate with clients, their agents, borrowers, asset managers, buyers' solicitors, internal departments, and other relevant parties as needed.
  • Use case management systems effectively on a daily basis.
  • Manage client billing and ensure all invoices are accurate and processed promptly.?

Experience and skills required

  • Experience with buy to let, leasehold properties and corporate clients is necessary
  • Experience in commercial conveyancing is a plus
  • Able to work under pressure maintaining attention to detail and meet tight deadlines
  • Proactive with commercial and financial awareness
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills at all levels and a true team ethos
  • 2 years’ + PQE and experience in residential conveyancing or commercial conveyancing is necessary
