About the Role:
  • Work closely with students who need additional support with behaviour, confidence, or academic engagement

  • Build strong, trusting relationships to encourage self-esteem and motivation

  • Provide one-to-one and small group mentoring sessions

  • Help pupils develop strategies to manage challenges both inside and outside the classroom

  • Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams to create personalised support plans

  • Monitor student progress and adapt approaches to meet individual needs

  • Support a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment

The Ideal Candidate Will:
  • Have experience working with children or young people in an educational, care, or mentoring role

  • Be patient, empathetic, and committed to helping students succeed

  • Understand the social, emotional, and behavioural challenges young people may face

  • Be able to build rapport quickly and maintain clear boundaries

  • Work well as part of a team and communicate effectively with staff, students, and families

  • Be reliable, flexible, and confident in supporting diverse learners

  • A background in youth work, coaching, psychology, or education is a strong advantage
