• Teach engaging and well-structured English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 teaching available for suitable candidates)

• Inspire students to think critically, express creatively, and develop a lifelong appreciation for reading and writing

• Contribute to an inclusive and forward-thinking English curriculum

• Use effective assessment strategies to monitor and support student progress

• Foster a positive, respectful classroom environment where all students feel supported and motivated

• Get involved in wider school life through extracurricular activities like reading clubs, creative writing workshops, or school performances

• Work collaboratively within a supportive department to share best practices and promote excellence

• UK QTS (Qualified Teacher Status), or be working towards gaining QTS

• A degree in English Language, English Literature, or a closely related subject

• Strong subject knowledge and the ability to bring literature and language to life in the classroom

• A passion for teaching and the ability to motivate students of varying abilities and backgrounds

• Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills

• A proactive, reflective approach and a genuine commitment to continuous professional growth
