Your Role at a Glance:
As an English Teacher, you’ll play a key role in shaping confident communicators and thoughtful readers. You’ll deliver inspiring lessons that bring literature and language to life, foster independent thought, and help students excel in their GCSEs and beyond.
Key Responsibilities:

Plan and teach creative, challenging lessons in line with the national English curriculum

Foster a classroom environment where discussion, debate, and critical thinking thrive

Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching strategies to meet individual needs

Support literacy development across the curriculum

Contribute to departmental planning, extracurricular activities, and whole-school initiatives
What We’re Looking For:
We’re seeking a motivated and dedicated English teacher who brings both expertise and enthusiasm to the classroom.
You’ll need:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

Experience teaching English at Key Stage 3 and 4 (KS5 desirable)

Strong subject knowledge and a love for English language and literature

Excellent communication and classroom management skills

A passion for inspiring students and raising achievement
