Role Overview: We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable geography teacher to join the team. This permanent role is perfect for someone who loves the processes of the world along with the social side, sharing this passion for the subject with students to inspire them to work to the best of their ability.
Key Responsibilities:Â
- Plan and deliver engaging and effective geography lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.Â
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.Â
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share teaching strategies.Â
- Participate in school activities and events.Â
- Build positive relations with each class to encourage engagement. Â
- Communicate with parents about behaviour if necessary and on parent’s evenings.Â
Requirements:Â
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.Â
- Experience teaching geography at the secondary level.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Â
- Ability to inspire and motivate students.Â
- A commitment to continuous professional development.Â
