We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic school in Waddesdon, Buckinghamshire. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the diverse needs of our students, ensuring an inclusive and nurturing learning environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one support to students with special educational needs, ensuring their individual needs are met
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to implement personalised learning plans
  • Assist in the development and implementation of sensory programs, behavioural strategies, and other interventions as required
  • Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere within the classroom, promoting the social and emotional development of students
  • Support the integration of students with SEN into mainstream activities and facilitate their participation in all aspects of school life

 

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience working with children or young people with special educational needs or desire to learn
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and staff
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the educational development of individuals with diverse needs
  • A commitment to promoting an inclusive and supportive learning environment

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent (Desired but not essential)
  • Additional qualifications or training in special educational needs would be advantageous
