About the Role

As the class teacher, you will lead a small group of pupils, supported by experienced Teaching Assistants. You will deliver creative, individualised lessons designed around EHCP targets, fostering academic progress and emotional development.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering differentiated lessons that meet a range of learning and developmental needs

  • Supporting pupils' social, emotional, and behavioural development with care and structure

  • Collaborating with therapists, TAs, and families to ensure a joined-up approach to learning

  • Creating a safe, consistent, and engaging classroom environment where all pupils can thrive

  • Monitoring progress and adapting strategies to meet changing needs

What We’re Looking For

We welcome applications from:

  • Qualified SEN specialists

  • Mainstream teachers with a strong interest in SEN

  • Primary or secondary trained teachers confident in adapting content to meet a wide range of needs

You will need to demonstrate:

  • QTS or equivalent teaching qualification

  • Experience supporting pupils with SEN (in education or alternative settings)

  • A calm, patient, and positive approach to teaching and behaviour management

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
