What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Delivering engaging and practical Food Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with potential KS5 opportunities).

  • Inspiring students through hands-on cooking projects, food design, and exploring the science behind food preparation.

  • Creating a dynamic and inclusive learning environment where students feel confident to experiment and express their creativity.

  • Leading food-related enrichment activities, including cooking competitions, showcases, and culinary events.

  • Incorporating current food trends, sustainability, and health-conscious cooking into the curriculum.

  • Collaborating with colleagues to enhance the overall food education experience and contribute to a thriving department.

We’re Looking for Someone Who:

  • Holds QTS (or is working towards it) and has a degree in Food Technology, Home Economics, or a related subject.

  • Has strong experience in teaching food technology and a genuine passion for food and cooking.

  • Can effectively teach both practical cooking skills and the theoretical aspects of nutrition and food science.

  • Brings enthusiasm, creativity, and fresh ideas to the classroom.

  • Has excellent communication skills and can build strong rapport with students to foster a positive learning environment.

  • Is organised, proactive, and committed to continuous professional development.
