Join a leading global supplier in the FMCG industry as an Electrical Maintenance Engineer. This role involves performing diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment, ensuring the smooth operation of manufacturing processes in compliance with all health and safety regulations.

Day-to-day of the Electrical Maintenance Engineer role:
  • Maintain critical equipment through reactive, planned, and preventative maintenance activities.
  • Prioritise and manage work orders under the guidance of the Engineering Supervisor.
  • Keep all maintenance records up to date using the CCMS system.
  • Report and propose solutions for major and chronic breakdowns to the Engineering Supervisor.
  • Manage onsite contractors, ensuring compliance with PTW (Permit to Work) and RAMS (Risk Assessment Method Statements).
  • Lead problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and ensure compliance with food hygiene and safety standards.
  • Ensure effective communication and smooth handovers across shifts.
Required Skills & Qualifications of the Electrical Maintenance Engineer:
  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Manufacturing, or a related Engineering discipline, or equivalent experience as a time-served Maintenance Technician in a production environment.
  • Minimum of five years’ experience, ideally in a food manufacturing setting.
  • Strong knowledge of production technical processes and continuous improvement strategies.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and experience operating a CMMS System.
  • Familiarity with PLCs, variable speed drives, and fault-finding is advantageous.
