Job Title: Senior NPD Technologist (x2 vacancies)
Salary: £50k
Location: On-site, Bala
Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm
About the Role:
We are recruiting for two experienced Senior NPD Technologists to join a fast-paced and innovative food manufacturing company. These customer-facing roles are pivotal in delivering new and existing product development projects from concept to launch, with full responsibility for key retail accounts.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage customer accounts and project briefs across NPD and EPD.
- Lead recipe development, documentation, factory trial coordination and launch support.
- Liaise with customers and cross-functional departments including Technical, Commercial, Supply Chain and Production.
- Create and deliver innovative, trend-led product concepts.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and customer codes of practice.
- Support pre-production meetings, quality panels, and innovation days.
About You:
- Previous experience in a Senior NPD Technologist role within the food manufacturing industry (ideally bakery).
- Strong understanding of ingredient functionality, recipe science, and product formulation.
- Highly organised and detail-oriented with a proactive, solutions-led approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; confident in customer-facing situations.
- Food Hygiene and HACCP knowledge (certification can be provided).
- Computer literate (Microsoft Office).
Desirable:
- Degree in Food Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Familiarity with major retailer codes of practice (Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Aldi, etc.).
