Accounts Payable | Permanent | Co Antrim | 

Reed Accountancy & Finance are delighted to be working with a commercial business in Co Antrim who are actively recruiting within their finance team for an Accounts Payable Assistant.

This role offers a brilliant opportunity to join a structured team and progress.

This role is office based, and the hours of work are 8.30am to 4.30pm.  Reduced working hours will also be considered.

Reporting to the Management Accountant and working as part of a team environment, the Accounts Payable Assistant will initially focus on the management of the purchase ledger but will also assist with month-end processes.  This job offers a brilliant opportunity for career progression.

More specific duties will include:

Management of the Accounts Payable process

Process supplier invoices (high volume)

Compile monthly supplier payment runs

Reconcile supplier statements

Processing interdepartmental invoices and allocation to cost centres

Preparation and posting of journals at month end, including accruals and prepayments

Opportunity to assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts

Stock reconciliations and assisting in stock control and reporting

The successful candidate will ideally:

Be a qualified AAT or part qualified AAT Accounting Technician

Can demonstrate previous experience of managing a high volume purchase ledger within industry

Candidates will have an interest in preparing management accounts, stock reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations

Candidates will possess excellent general IT skills including advanced level experience of Microsoft Excel
