We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal (Housing) to join our clients legal team. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a dynamic legal environment, supporting solicitors in housing and litigation matters while also providing administrative assistance across HR and governance functions.

This position is ideal for a candidate with a strong background in housing law, excellent IT and organisational skills, and a proactive approach to legal and administrative work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist solicitors with a range of housing-related legal matters, including disrepair, anti-social behaviour, unlawful occupation, tenancy fraud, and rent recovery.
  • Prepare and file court bundles; attend court proceedings as required.
  • Conduct legal research and maintain up-to-date knowledge of housing legislation and case law.
  • Support the legal team in maintaining accurate case files and performance data.
  • Provide administrative support to HR and governance teams, including document management and data reporting.
  • Contribute to the development of internal systems for monitoring KPIs and legal service delivery.
Person Specification

Essential:

  • Completion of the Legal Practice Course (LPC) or equivalent legal/advice sector experience.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of housing law.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case management systems.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable:

  • Experience working with solicitor case files and time recording.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint and data reporting tools.
