We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Childminding/Nursery Assistant to provide exceptional care for children in a safe and engaging environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in childcare, with the ability to manage daily activities, communicate effectively with both children and parents, and foster a positive atmosphere for early childhood development. This role is perfect for individuals who have experience working with children in various settings, including nurseries or educational environments.

Nursery Assistant - Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
  • Manage daily routines, including meal preparation, nap times, and playtime.
  • Communicate regularly with parents about their children's progress and any concerns that may arise.
  • Provide a safe and nurturing environment by ensuring the well-being of the children at all times.
  • Assist with educational activities as needed.
  • Implement effective discipline strategies to encourage positive behaviour.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of play areas and children's belongings.

Nursery Assistant - Requirements

  • Proven experience in childcare or early childhood education is essential.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • A genuine passion for working with children and fostering their development.
  • Ability to drive is preferred but not mandatory; must have a valid driver's licence if applicable.
  • Knowledge of early childhood education principles is advantageous.
  • Must be patient, reliable, and adaptable to changing situations.
