- Representing clients detained at police stations
- Managing a caseload of criminal defence cases across a broad range of offences
- Conducting advocacy in the Magistrates’ Court (and Crown Court if Higher Rights are held)
- Qualified Solicitor with at least 1 year’s PQE in criminal matters
- Crime Duty Accreditation is preferred (or willingness to obtain it)
- Strong communication and advocacy skills
- Confident in managing a demanding caseload with minimal supervision
- Proficient in IT and case management systems
- Professional, pragmatic, and positive approach to work
- Genuine passion for publicly funded legal work
- Strong attention to detail, excellent client care, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Able to remain calm and effective under pressure and deadlines
