Key Responsibilities:-
Deliver high-quality, inspiring Music lessons across Key Stages 3 to 5, including performance, theory, composition, and music appreciation.

Design a varied and challenging curriculum that promotes both technical skills and creative expression.

Organise and lead extracurricular music activities such as ensembles, choirs, and school performances.

Encourage students to explore a broad spectrum of musical genres and develop their unique talents.

Maintain strong classroom management while fostering a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.

Collaborate effectively with colleagues and contribute to wider school events and cross-curricular projects.

Be a qualified Music Teacher with UK QTS and a relevant degree in Music or a closely related field.

Have experience teaching Music in a secondary school setting, ideally up to A-Level.

Demonstrate a strong understanding of curriculum development and student-centred pedagogy.

Be passionate about music education and committed to helping all students reach their potential.

Possess excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills.

Be willing to participate in school life beyond the classroom and support wider school initiatives.

Have a clear understanding of safeguarding and child protection. All successful applicants must hold (or be willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS registered on the update service.
