We're searching for a knowledgeable and engaging History Teacher to join our well-regarded Independent mixed school in Barnet on a permanent, full-time basis this September. This is an excellent opportunity to ignite a passion for history and develop crucial critical thinking skills in students across Key Stages 3 and 4 (aged 11-16).
What you'll be doing:
- You'll be designing and delivering captivating History lessons, helping students understand the significance of past events and their impact on the present.
- The role involves expertly guiding students through diverse historical periods and interpretations, following a well-structured and enriching curriculum.
- You'll cultivate a dynamic and inclusive classroom where students feel empowered to explore historical sources, engage in thoughtful discussions, and sharpen their analytical minds.
What we're looking for:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a genuine specialism in History.
- Experience teaching engaging and effective History lessons at Key Stages 3 and 4 is a big plus.
- A deep and current understanding of British and world history, coupled with the ability to make the subject truly come alive.
- Excellent communication skills and strong classroom management are key.
