Are you a knowledgeable and dedicated RE Teacher ready to inspire thoughtful discussions about faith, philosophy, and ethics? We're looking for a temporary, full-time RE Teacher to join our well-regarded Independent mixed school in Barnet, starting this June. This is a fantastic opportunity to introduce students to the richness and diversity of religious and ethical thought across Key Stages 3 and 4 (aged 11-16).

What you'll be doing:

  • You'll be delivering engaging and effective Religious Education lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering curiosity and developing students' critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • It's about contributing to a positive learning environment within the department and genuinely supporting students to reach their full potential.
  • You'll cultivate a reflective and inclusive classroom where students feel empowered to explore their own beliefs and engage in thoughtful, respectful discussions.

What we're looking for:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a strong specialism in Religious Education, Philosophy, or Theology.
  • Ideally, you'll have some experience teaching engaging and effective RE lessons at Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • A broad and current understanding of different religious traditions and ethical frameworks is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills, strong classroom management, and that ability to facilitate sensitive discussions.
