Are you a caring, patient and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant looking to make a real impact in a specialist setting?

We’re currently recruiting for a SEN Teaching Assistant to join the team at a fantastic specialist SEN school in Barnet that supports students with severe and complex learning needs, including Autism, PMLD, and physical disabilities.

The  Role:

You will be working with young adults 11 - 19 , all with Special Education Needs. Some of the students you will be working with may have limited communication skills, SEMH, Autism, ADHD, Physical disabilities and PMLD. Personal care may be involved.

You will be assisting more than one class, supporting children across the school and occasionally  working 1:1 with pupils.

You will over the course of the academic year support the pupils in engaging in lessons and achieve their potential. 

This role is deal for TA's or Graduates who: 

  • Have experience with SEN, particularly Autism, PMLD, and complex needs

  • Are calm, empathetic and proactive in behaviour support

  • Want to be part of a dedicated, welcoming and experienced team
