White Label is working exclusively with an engineering and manufacturing business based in Barnsley that require a Field Service Engineer to join their team.

As a Field Service Engineer your role will be split between supporting new installations and troubleshooting and repairing existing machinery.

The role is split between customer site work across the UK and Ireland, and support at the company’s Barnsley facility. Expect 2–3 overnight stays per week, with plenty of variety and autonomy in your day-to-day.

My client is offering a salary of £40,000 - £45,000 + overtime and additional benefits:

  • 40 hours per week
  • 32 days holiday including bank holidays
  • Pension
  • Overtime at time and half
  • Additional daily rate when working abroad

Responsibilities of the Field Service Engineer

  • Carry out installation, service, and repair work on machinery. 
  • Provide remote support via phone/email where required.
  • Support customers with training (in person or using VR tools).
  • Assist the internal assembly team with equipment prep when based on-site.
  • Ensure timely submission of service reports and documentation.
  • Maintain high standards of customer satisfaction and represent the company professionally.
  • Follow all health & safety and quality procedures.

Experience required of the Field Service Engineer

  • Field service or maintenance experience (ideally 5+ years)
  • Electrically biased, with mechanical capability
  • Exposure to capital machinery would be a big plus
  • Comfortable with travel and overnight stays
  • Must have a full UK driving license.
