The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting HGV Class 1 Drivers (C&E) on behalf of our client based in Barnsley.
Hours: Choose your own AFTERNOONS of work and start times from 12:00 lunch, please note you must be able to work every Friday OR Sunday.
Pay Rates:
- (AFTERS PAYE): Monday to Thursday £16.87, Friday £17.60, Saturday £18.29 & Sunday £18.61
- (AFTERS ROLLEDUP): Monday to Thursday £18.91, Friday £19.72, Saturday £20.50, Sunday £20.86
- (NIGHTS): Monday to Thursday £17.59, Friday £18.10, Saturday £20.69 & Sunday £21.96 PAYE
- (NIGHTS ROLLEDUP): Monday to Thursday £19.71, Friday £20.28, Saturday £23.19, Sunday £24.61
Location: Barnsley, S74.
Job Type: Long-term, ongoing.
The role:
- Trunking to one depot, ensuring timely and safe delivery of parcels.
- Working every Friday OR Sunday dependant on your choice.
- Reversing in the yard and manoeuvring vehicles with precision.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle, ensuring roadworthiness and compliance with company standards.
- Adhere to all relevant traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to maintain a high level of safety on the road.
- Effectively communicate with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.
Requirements:
- Ability to work every Friday or Sunday unless on leave.
- At least 6 months' HGV driving experience.
- Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (category C+E).
- Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
- No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
- Successful completion of practical / theory assessment.
- Full understanding of WTD legislation.
