About the Role
We are seeking a Conveyancing Legal Assistant to support our busy property team in Barnsley. The ideal candidate will assist fee earners with residential conveyancing transactions, ensuring a smooth and efficient process for clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist fee earners with all aspects of residential conveyancing, from instruction to completion.
- Liaise with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and solicitors to facilitate transactions.
- Draft legal documents, contracts, and correspondence.
- Conduct searches and review title documents.
- Manage files and maintain accurate records within the case management system.
- Handle post-completion formalities, including registrations and compliance tasks.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a conveyancing or legal assistant role is desirable.
- Strong administrative and organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- IT proficiency, including experience with case management systems.
