About the Role
We are seeking a Private Client Legal Assistant to join our dedicated team in Barnsley. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to fee earners, assisting with wills, probate, trusts, and estate planning matters while ensuring excellent client care.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist fee earners with private client matters, including wills, probate, trusts, and estate administration.
- Prepare correspondence and legal documents through audio-typing and document drafting.
- Manage client files, ensuring accurate record-keeping and compliance with legal procedures.
- Liaise with clients, providing professional and friendly support both in person and over the phone.
- Handle incoming and outgoing post, emails, and telephone calls.
- Schedule appointments and maintain an up-to-date diary for fee earners.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a private client or legal assistant role is desirable.
- Strong administrative and organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- IT proficiency, including experience with case management systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
