Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced Business Support Officer to join Barnsley Council's Safeguarding Team on an initial 3 month temporary contract. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide a confidential and efficient business support service to internal teams and external customers.

Manage correspondence, calls, and enquiries, offering advice, guidance and signposting where appropriate.

Organise and coordinate meetings, diaries, and appointments, including accurate minute-taking.

Assist with project work, research, and the preparation of reports and data analysis.

Maintain electronic and paper-based systems, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.

Undertake financial administration such as raising purchase orders, processing payments, and reconciling invoices.

Liaise with stakeholders to support the smooth running of council services and operations.
Requirements:

Previous experience within a business support or administrative role.

Strong organisational and communication skills.

Skilled in minute taking
