- Register and validate planning applications in line with national and local guidelines
- Manage incoming correspondence and provide front-line customer support
- Assist with the processing of consultations, advertisements, and application notifications
- Support the preparation of planning agendas, reports, and appeals
- Handle Land Charges and site history searches using GIS and planning software
- Provide high-quality administrative support across the Development Management team
- Promote a strong customer service culture, ensuring all advice is accurate and friendly
- Previous experience working in a planning or development management environment
- Familiarity with Mastergov and GIS systems
- Strong understanding of planning application processes and validation requirements
- Excellent IT skills, including MS Office (Excel advantageous)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage a varied workload and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
- Minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at Grade C or above, including English and Maths
