There is a rate of £35 PAYE per hour PAYE OR £47.12 Umbrella Per Hour on offer for the successful candidate. The role would involve a hybrid working arrangement with 2 days a week on site in Barrow In Furness and 3 days working from home.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a strategic Learning & Development Manager to oversee the development, execution, and continuous improvement of our training programs and learning initiatives. You will manage a portfolio of training projects aligned with business goals, ensuring content quality, stakeholder engagement, and measurable outcomes.Key Responsibilities:

• Portfolio Oversight: Manage a diverse training portfolio, ensuring alignment with organizational strategy and workforce capability needs.• Project Management: Lead training program development from concept to delivery, including needs analysis, design, implementation, and evaluation.• Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with business leaders, HR, and subject matter experts to identify training needs and priorities.• Vendor & Budget Management: Select and manage external training vendors; monitor budget and ensure cost-effective delivery.• Data & Impact Analysis: Track KPIs, learner feedback, and performance metrics to measure training effectiveness and ROI.• Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities to optimize training processes and content based on feedback and results.• Compliance & Standards: Ensure training programs meet internal quality standards and regulatory requirements where applicable.• Team Leadership (if applicable): Manage and mentor L&D coordinators or instructional designers assigned to the portfolio.Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven ability to manage complex training programs across diverse functions• Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills• Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS), eLearning tools, and instructional design methodologies• Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
