Job Title: Security Compliance Coordinator Location: Barrow Pay Rate: £18.00 per hour (PAYE) Contract Duration: 6 months – ( Likelihood of extension/ perm) Overview: We are seeking a highly organised Security Compliance Coordinator with strong administrative skills to support the execution of security responsibilities across one or more key workstreams. This role plays a crucial part in safeguarding people, information, and assets by ensuring security policies are effectively applied, risks are assessed and documented, and compliance standards are upheld. The ideal candidate will be a strong administrator, confident in performing risk assessments, maintaining accurate documentation, and using Microsoft tools to support reporting and compliance tracking. Key Responsibilities: • Execute daily security compliance activities aligned with our security policies • Provide administrative support across all aspects of the security function, including document management, tracking actions, and scheduling. • Conduct risk assessments and assist with identifying and implementing appropriate remedial measures. • Communicate security risks and incidents clearly to stakeholders and escalate where necessary. • Collect, maintain, and analyse compliance data, KPIs, and audit evidence. • Draft and maintain security documentation, including policies, breach logs, and performance reports. • Support internal and external audits, ensuring timely provision of required evidence and responses. • Promote a security-aware culture through training and awareness campaigns. • Liaise with stakeholders to ensure consistent security practices across departments. • Monitor local compliance controls and report their effectiveness. • Supervise junior staff or contractors if applicable. Required Knowledge: • Awareness of internal business policies and operational workflows. • Knowledge of local and organisational security protocols. • Familiarity with relevant legislation, standards, and regulatory requirements. Required Skills: • Strong administrative and organisational skills with high attention to detail. • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) for reporting, documentation, and tracking. • Able to perform and document risk assessments independently. • Skilled in gathering, analysing, and presenting data. • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills. • Confident in providing clear guidance on compliance and policy matters. • Capable of managing sensitive information with discretion. Qualifications & Experience: Relevant security qualification (e.g. Security+, CPP, CISMP) ]DESIRABLE experience in a similar security or compliance role, ideally in a regulated or corporate environment. Experience conducting risk assessments and using administrative systems to manage compliance.
