We are currently seeking a dynamic Maths Teacher to join a school in Cumbria on a long-term basis, starting immediately. The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of the curriculum, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to creating an engaging learning environment.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Deliver engaging and informative Maths lessons to students at KS3 and KS4 levels; KS5 teaching would be an advantage.
  • Utilise strong subject knowledge to enhance student learning and meet curriculum standards.
  • Maintain effective classroom management and discipline.
  • Inspire and motivate students to excel in Maths.
  • Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students.
  • Collaborate with other teaching staff to plan and coordinate lessons.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Must have QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent.
  • Recent relevant experience teaching Maths at KS3 and KS4; experience at KS5 is advantageous.
  • Excellent classroom practitioner with robust subject knowledge and classroom management skills.
  • Reliable, committed, and capable of acting as a good role model displaying qualities of compassion, trustworthiness, politeness, and good listening skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; must be trustworthy, punctual, patient, and confident when working with children.
