RECfinancial are recruiting exclusively for our Leicestershire based manufacturing business, who are keen to recruit an Accounts Assistant on a Part- Time Permanent basis. Working Monday to Friday 30 hours per week, in the office.

This is a unique placement to join an established manufacturing business, within a small office team. Working alongside a pro-active Assistant Finance Manager, the successful applicant will have on-site training and an ability to progress and develop into the role. Giving the new employee an opportunity to make the role their own.

 

Main role of Part-time Accounts Assistant 

The main purpose of this role is to assist the wider Finance Team and look after the transactional side of accounting including Accounts Payable, Credit Control and various other finance tasks. Undertaking data entry and data analysis and being able to pick up all Finance tasks within the team if required. 

 

Responsibilities of the Part-time Accounts Assistant

  • Full end to end Ledger duties; including assigning entries to correct accounts and payments.
  • Updating weekly cash book and assisting in cash forecasting
  • Updating the balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Credit control
  • Data inputting and some data analysis 
  • Resolving customer and client queries and issues
  • Plus any ad hoc Finance or Administration duties.

 

Skills and experience:

  • Willingness to learn
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Self–disciplined, with good time management skills and the ability to manage and prioritise various tasks.
  • Ability to work independently, using your own initiative.
  • Strong IT skills, including Excel, MS Office and knowledge of Sage would be an advantage.
