Outsourcing Coordinator

Location: Basildon

Pay Rate: 13.68 PAYE Inclusive

Proposed Start Date: ASAP
Hours: 37.5 per week Monday - Friday
Contract: Ongoing temporary assignment

Overview:

We are seeking a confident and proactive Outsourcing Coordinator to support efforts in reducing the post-COVID patient treatment backlog. This non-clinical, administrative role involves contacting patients to gain consent for outsourcing to private healthcare providers, updating internal systems, and managing key administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contact patients daily via telephone to discuss outsourcing options and obtain consent
  • Handle patient and staff queries with professionalism and empathy
  • Maintain accurate records using Excel and Trust clinical systems (e.g., EPR, ERS, ACP)
  • Collate and send medical notes to private providers
  • Manage inboxes and assist with general admin duties
  • Support the RTT validation team and Service Delivery Manager as required
  • Adhere to Trust information governance and data protection standards

Requirements:

  • Excellent telephone manner and communication skills
  • Confident with Microsoft Excel and general admin systems
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise workload
  • Previous NHS or healthcare admin experience desirable
  • Must be comfortable working in a busy office environment full time
