I am currently seeking a Draughtsman / Draughtsperson for work involving steel work and architectural metal work around Basildon (Essex). This role is open to contract or a permanent position for the right candidate.
This role would include but not be limited to the below
- Prepare detailed and accurate technical drawings for steel and architectural metal work, including structural components, frames, and fixtures.
- Collaborate with engineers and architects to understand project requirements and design specifications.
- Produce 2D and 3D models
- Ensure that all drawings are compliant with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
- Conduct site visits to gather measurements and assess project requirements.
- Modify and revise designs based on feedback from clients, engineers, or project managers.
- Prepare fabrication and assembly instructions for manufacturing teams.
- Assist in the preparation of project documentation, including specifications and material lists.
The Ideal Candidate will have
- Experience as a draughtsman / draughtsperson or similar
- Previous experience with steel work and Architectural metal work or similar
- Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant design tools.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles, materials, and construction methods.
