We are currently recruiting for a Management Accountant to join a leading business in Basingstoke on a 2-year fixed term contract.This is a high-impact Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) role where you'll go beyond reporting—helping shape the direction of the business through insight-led analysis, detailed forecasting, and data-driven decision-making.What will the Management Accountant role involve?
- Lead on management accounts: Take full ownership of monthly management accounts, financial reporting, and audit preparation, supporting the Financial Controller with senior-level reporting.
- Financial analysis & modelling: Develop financial models, conduct cost and profitability analysis, and monitor KPIs to support decision-making and strategic planning.
- Business partnering & collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, project managers, and operational staff (including site visits) to understand the business, support capex evaluation, and resolve ledger queries.
- Team leadership & development: Mentor and support a small finance team, promoting continuous improvement and professional growth.
- Stakeholder relationships & flexibility: Build strong relationships across finance, operations, and with external partners.
Suitable Candidate for the Management Accountant vacancy:
- Fully qualified (CIMA, ACCA or equivalent) with a strong academic foundation.
- Proven experience in management accounting.
- Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with SAP is an advantage.
- Strong analytical ability with attention to detail.
- Effective communicator, able to simplify financial data for non-finance audiences.
- Comfortable working in a team-focused environment with a proactive mindset.
