The Role
We're looking for a strategic and motivated Bid Managerto lead our NHS and public sector tender submissions. You’ll manage around 20bids a year, owning the process from start to finish—working with commercial,operational, and subject matter experts to produce clear, persuasive,high-scoring responses.
This role suits someone who thrives under pressure, managesmultiple projects with ease, and enjoys digging into service models and data toimprove every submission.

Essential
- Proven bid/tender experience (NHS/public sector preferred).
- Managing a big and challenging internally, not simply creating a response
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
- Strong project management and multitasking abilities.
- Skilled at working with and influencing busy stakeholders.
- Quality-focused, curious, and improvement-driven.
Desirable
- Knowledge of NHS procurement.
- Experience with bid tools or CRM.
- Familiarity with scoring frameworks (MEAT, social value).
- Background in journalism, PR, or technical writing.
- Lead Bids: Own the full bid cycle—from qualification to submission—ensuring alignment with NHS needs.
- Write Responses: Craft strong answers to 8–10 qualitative questions per bid, focusing on our strengths and impact.
- Engage Teams: Gather insights from across the business and manage stakeholder input.
- Ensure Quality: Final editor for every submission—ensuring clarity, accuracy, and compliance.
- Improve Continuously: Review feedback, update best-practice libraries, and raise quality with each bid.
- Plan Ahead: Track upcoming tenders and manage internal timelines.
