Job Advert: 7.5T Customer Delivery and Installation Driver
Location: Unit A The Faraday Centre, Rutherford Road, Basingstoke, RG24 8PD
Hours: 5 days on 3 days off, 6:45am - 6:45pm, 45 hrs per week
Contract Type: Full-Time / Ad - Hoc
Salary: 15.85 an hour
Are you passionate about delivering outstanding customer service and ready to take the wheel of a rewarding career? We're looking for 7.5T Customer Delivery and Installation Drivers to join our dynamic supply chain team and help bring technology to life for customers across the UK.
This Grade 2 role reports directly to a First Line Manager and plays a key part in delivering, installing, and demonstrating products in customer's homes - safely, professionally, and with a smile.
What You'll Be Doing:
Safely deliver, install, and demonstrate a range of products including White Goods, Televisions, and Cookers in customer's homes
Provide an exceptional customer experience by keeping them informed and ensuring all deliveries and installations meet the highest standards
Use a hand held device (Savvy) to manage visit records and obtain customer signatures
Stay in regular contact with your base to manage scheduling, address unexpected issues, and adapt to changing delivery needs
Handle all products with care, using provided equipment such as straps and sack barrows
Liaise with manufacturers if needed at the point of delivery
Drive responsibly, complying with all road laws and company policies
Deliver and collect tote boxes and stock from retail stores
Ensure your vehicle load is regularly reviewed, secured, and safely managed
Always represent the business professionally as a brand ambassador
What You'll Need:
Passion for excellent customer service
Strong communication skills, both face-to-face and over the phone
A flexible and collaborative mindset - able to work solo or as part of a team
Good physical fitness to meet the demands of the role
Safe manual handling skills and adherence to health and safety procedures
Ability to use initiative and problem-solve in a calm, timely way
Commitment to learning, growth, and maintaining required driving qualifications
Experience driving a 7.5T vehicle - or the right criteria to train towards it (e.g. 6 months experience driving a 3.5T vehicle, no blameworthy accidents, and no more than 3 penalty points)
Qualifications Required:
Full UK/EU C1 driving license (max 6 penalty points) or ability to work toward it
Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (DCPC)
Valid Digital Tachograph Card
Driver Qualification Card (DQC) - Desirable
- Basic DBS Certificate - Desirable
