The Talent and Development Manager is responsible for the development, implementation and embedding of talent management, succession planning practices and development programmes across the UK business. 4 days p/w in Basingstoke office.Must have extensive Learning and Talent Development experience.

Description

With the overall aim of supporting our client's workforce to reach their full potential, as Talent and Development Manager, you will be responsible for the development, implementation and embedding of talent management, succession planning practices and development programmes across the UK business. This will include:

  • Co-ordinate and report on key development activity during the year e.g., Talent Review, Personal Development Review (PDR).
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to drive and monitor progress for the key Talent & Development processes.
  • Design and deliver talent initiatives/programmes to maximise engagement and retention for key populations e.g., High Potentials, Graduates, Apprentices.
  • Proactively communicate development programmes / opportunities available for all employees to ensure staff engagement through career and personal development.
  • Ensure all aspects of development and talent management are focused on diversity and inclusiveness to ensure accessibility to all employees.
  • Development and delivery of strategic leadership development programmes for all leaders.
  • Enable and ensure the development of interventions focused on improving line manager competence and capability.
  • Research, recommend and oversee talent identification & development methods, processes, and tools (often with 3rd parties).
  • Foster and maintain relationships with other external professional bodies, advisers, consultants and learning & development providers.
  • Provide analysis and reports to support talent management and succession planning activities.
  • Monitor and measure training delivery results.
  • Ensure coherence with group programmes.
  • Delivery of projects to plan and budget.
  • Provide career progression and career pathway guidance.
  • Manage the learning and development advisor role.
  • Work alongside the HR team to source and implement new apprenticeships to promote internal uptake.
  • Co-ordinate UK use & content deployment on Moodle workplace LMS system.

This role requires the incumbent to work 4 days per week from the Basingstoke office.
