Agile Delivery Lead

Location: Gateshead / Basingstoke

Role Summary

As an Agile Delivery Lead, you will form part of a cross-functional, multi-disciplinary agile product team ensuring that we deliver high quality applications. We develop simple but highly effective web applications, and are passionate about writing good quality, highly testable, user-driven software. Our software uses modern technologies, consisting of mainly angular front ends using a combination of TypeScript and JavaScript, with backend C# Web API RESTful services.

Key accountabilities

• Work with collaborative product teams comprised of Product Managers, offshore Engineers, Business Analysts and Testers

• Lead on agile and lean practices that enable the teams to collaborate and deliver value for customers and the business as efficiently as possible

• Collect and report on key team metrics to stakeholders via Azure DevOps dashboards

• Drive the teams to continuously improve based on what you learn from tracking team metrics • Encourage and motivate the teams, enabling them to perform their roles effectively and protecting them from external distractions so they can focus on what they do best

• Work with key stakeholders and partner on decisions to improve processes that surround the product teams, so that delivery is as efficient and impactful as possible

• Work with the Product Managers to report team plans and progress to key stakeholders and the wider organisation

• Support the Divisional leadership team in executing on the strategy for Authentication in terms of the core GRS and Brand Protection propositions

• Build and embed (industry standard) operational best practices to sustain rapid growth and drive greater control of operations, profitability and risk

• Contribute to the development of a strong Divisional operating model, building strong interactions, processes and enablers across functions and teams

• Provide subject matter expertise to support effective decision making and provide input as required to the annual strategic planning and budgeting cycles

• To ensure full participation in the performance development review (PDR) process and maintain an up-to-date record of all training and development activities/programs

Essential (qualifications, experience and skills)

A strong understanding of the full software testing lifecycle & methodologies with experience of Functional, Integration and Regression testing

• Recognised as a leader and expert in Agile, (SAFe, Scrum and Kanban), you will leverage this skill to stamp your mark on all aspects of our transformational journey to ensure that our teams are ‘being Agile’ and not just ‘doing Agile’.

• Strong understanding of software delivery and the principles and practices of BDD & TDD

• Experience of delivering complex business and technical projects using internal and external suppliers in a digital environment.

• Full system lifecycle experience

• Track record of managing cross-dependencies and prioritisation.

• Proven experience of driving continuous, provable improvements and efficiencies in a delivery environment.

• Certified qualification in Agile Scrum

Desirable

• Experience of Azure DevOps (prev. TDS) tools to create Dashboards and reports

• Certified qualification in scaled Agile – Scrum Scale, SAFe or equivalent

• Experience of managing remote teams
