About Us

Haringtons Hotel & Apartments is a stylish 13-bedroom boutique hotel with 16 luxury serviced apartments in the centre of Bath (BA1 1HE). Known for our warm welcome, quirky charm, and high service standards, we are proud to have a team of 25 staff who work hard to create memorable stays for our guests.

The Role

We are looking for a General Managerto oversee daily operations, lead the team, and help us deliver the best possible guest experience while ensuring the smooth running of the business.

This role could suit:

  • An experienced hospitality professional looking for a first step into management.
  • A recent graduate with a background in hotel or hospitality operations.
  • A committed individual with a proven track record of reliability, dedication, and a passion for hospitality.

You dont need prior management experience what matters most is commitment, enthusiasm, and the ability to inspire others. Full training and ongoing support will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Guest Experience

  • Oversee day-to-day running of the hotel and apartments.
  • Ensure exceptional guest service at reception, housekeeping, and breakfast.
  • Handle guest feedback and queries with professionalism and care.
  • Maintain high property standards across all areas.

Team Leadership

  • Support, guide, and motivate a team of 25 staff members.
  • Help with scheduling, rotas, and performance monitoring.
  • Be a visible, approachable leader for both staff and guests.

Business & Administration

  • Assist with budgeting, payroll, and financial performance.
  • Monitor costs and suggest improvements for efficiency.
  • Work with ownership on longer-term projects and growth opportunities.

Requirements

  • Background in hotel or hospitality operations (front desk, housekeeping, F&B, etc.).
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and motivate others.
  • Organised, reliable, and willing to take initiative.
  • Proven commitment whether through work, study, or other achievements.
  • Flexible to work varying hours when business requires, including every other weekend.
